When God called Moses to deliver the Hebrews from Pharaoh and Egyptian bondage, Moses felt inadequate, nor was he up for the task. God immediately reassured him and said, “Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be a token unto you, that I have sent you: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain” (Exodus 3:12). God’s token of deliverance to Moses was his word and that was all Moses had to go on, but it was more than enough for him, because El Shaddai, The Almighty God that is more than enough gave him his word. Even today, God is still more than enough for us. He said, I am the Lord, I change not. He’s the same yesterday, today and forever. His word is certain; his promises are true.
He is not a man that tells lies. He’s the way the truth and the life and if you don’t have anything else to hold on to, hold on and rely upon his word. His word is truth and the expression of his essence. He is what he says and he performs what he speaks. His awesome power and authority is revealed in his spoken word. Everything that is seen and unseen, all creation; is established, sustained, upheld and kept, by his powerful word. For all God’s promises are yes and amen to your good and for his glory.
In John 6:63, Jesus said, “It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. God’s Rhema (living) word is Zoah (spirit) life. You can invest in it; your stock will never lose their value. God’s word is alive and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. In other words, it is very precise and it will never ever fail you. When God speaks, receive his word, grab hold onto it and never let go; hide it in your hearts it will keep you free from sin, and protect, preserve , and prosper you along life’s journey.
No matter what, hold on and wait faithfully upon him. God’s word is our “token of deliverance”, our hope and our salvation, it’s everything that we need and more. Be blessed forever.
